KinderCare is seeking a Senior Teacher to lead classrooms at our Hayward Road center, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. You will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, observe and document progress, and communicate regularly with families. The Senior Teacher mentors assistant staff, supports center initiatives, and ensures compliance with licensing and safety standards. You'll collaborate with colleagues, model best practices in early childhood education, and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture focused on each child's growth and success. Responsibilities Lead and manage an early childhood classroom at the Hayward Road center Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities Observe, assess, and document children's progress and learning outcomes Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Communicate regularly with families about child development and daily experiences Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom staff Ensure compliance with state licensing, health, and safety regulations Collaborate with center leadership on program quality and improvement Support inclusion and positive behavior guidance strategies Participate in professional development and staff meetings Required Skills Curriculum planning for early childhood education Child development assessment and documentation Classroom management and positive behavior guidance Early learning standards implementation Parent and family communication Health, safety, and licensing compliance Lesson planning and activity design Team leadership and staff mentoring Observation and record-keeping software or tools Basic MS Office or center management systems
