Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. In this vital role, you will lead early childhood education initiatives, develop innovative curricula, and build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies. Support children's social-emotional growth through personalized child development instruction and early intervention techniques. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss behavioral concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Incorporate specialized knowledge in special education and childhood development to support diverse learning needs, including toddlers care and children requiring additional support. Maintain classroom organization, manage daily routines efficiently, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and learning progress. Collaborate with team members to plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, physical education, and age-appropriate educational technology. Experience Proven teaching experience with young children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education. Background in curriculum development with a focus on literacy education, math instruction, physical education, or Montessori methods. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services to support diverse learning needs. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices to create a positive learning environment. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols in educational settings. Prior experience communicating effectively with parents or guardians about children's progress and behavioral concerns. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred. Pay:
$25.17 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
