Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as an After-School Counselor, where your energy and enthusiasm will inspire and support children in a dynamic, nurturing environment. In this role, you will facilitate engaging activities, promote positive behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of every child. Your dedication will help foster a fun, educational atmosphere that encourages growth, creativity, and social development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while developing your skills in youth development and education. Duties Supervise children during after-school hours (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM) Monday through Friday, ensuring their safety and proper conduct at all times Plan and lead a variety of age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Assist with homework help and tutoring Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to emergencies Collaborate with team members to support each child's individual needs and development goals Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and engagement Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive environment A plus is you have experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp experience Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiar with first aid protocols for emergencies Ability to lead activities effectively with enthusiasm for teaching young children Experience in outdoor work environments and outdoor activity facilitation Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience, creativity, and a caring attitude Strong team leadership abilities to coordinate activities smoothly and foster collaboration among staff This role is perfect for passionate individuals eager to make a positive difference while gaining valuable experience in youth development. Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 10.0 per week
