Must have a strong understanding of child development and the different milestones children must meet. Must be able to work well with others to create a positive environment for your coworkers. Be open to furthering professional development. Familiar with or open to learning EEC/State regulations and NAEYC requirements. Must have prior daycare experience! This is not an entry-level position! Must have Preschool OR Infant/Toddler Certification from EEC. Lead Teacher Certification preferred and includes higher wage. Non-certified applicants will not be considered.
Requires Minimum:
High School Diploma EEC Preschool Certification / EEC Infant/Toddler Certification Reliable transportation
Principal Duties:
Ensuring safety and physical well-being of children. Contributing to the effective operation of the Center. Meet NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct Manage daily program schedule of classroom. Plan and conduct daily program that meets each child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs based on our curriculum philosophy. Ensure routines for care of the children are carried out in a prompt, safe, and consistent manner Constant supervision of children to ensure safety. Operate classroom in compliance with EEC licensing standards. Create a pleasant, inviting atmosphere in which children and parents feel secure and comfortable Complete job description provided during orientation.
