Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our center based child care program. In this vital role, you will co-create a warm, engaging environment that promotes healthy development, curiosity, and a love of learning with a co-teacher. Your expertise will support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through innovative lesson planning, individualized care, and effective communication with families. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the foundational years of a child's life. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that foster early childhood development, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Provide attentive infant and toddler care by supporting their daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene activities. Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior through effective behavior management strategies. Plan and offer engaging and inclusive lessons that incorporate an emphasis on social-emotional development as well as all children's interests and needs. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns regarding child welfare or development. Maintain detailed records of children's developmental progress, and assessments as required by early childhood education standards. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold all health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR certifications according to EEC regulations Requirements MA EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher Certification Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Knowledge of child development care and instruction, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Strong skills in curriculum and daily support and engagement for infants and toddlers Experience with special education needs or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, co-teachers, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing professional development in childhood development Current certificaton requirements for MA EEC Essentials 2.0 (Initial or refersher) Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience working within preschool or daycare environments.
