Job Description
Full-Time | $43,680-$54,080/year | Montessori Kids Universe Waltham Montessori Kids Universe Waltham is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teachers to join our Infant through school-age classrooms (ages 6 weeks to 6 years). Our Teachers work collaboratively with Lead Guides, other Teachers, and classroom staff to create a warm, safe, engaging, and appropriately challenging learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop independence, and build confidence. If you have a passion for working with children and are interested in Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies , we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities As a Teacher, you will: Work alongside a Lead Guide or another Teacher to support daily classroom activities and routines Engage children in age-appropriate learning experiences and activities Encourage independence, creativity, problem-solving, and positive social interactions Assist with meals, rest time, outdoor play, and classroom transitions Help prepare and maintain a clean, organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment Observe and support children's individual developmental needs Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families Collaborate with Lead Guides, Teachers, and school leadership Follow school policies and Massachusetts EEC health and safety requirements Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Warm, kind, patient, respectful, and nurturing Passionate about working with young children Dependable and able to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team Interested in Montessori and Reggio Emilia educational philosophies Comfortable communicating with children, families, and coworkers Interested in continuing to learn and grow as an early childhood educator Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or classroom environment preferred Massachusetts EEC Teacher qualification/certification preferred Montessori experience or certification is a plus, but not required Willingness to participate in Montessori training and professional development Must meet applicable Massachusetts EEC requirements and complete required background checks
