The YMCA is seeking a caring Preschool Infant/Toddler Teacher to nurture our youngest learners in a mission-driven, inclusive environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging classroom that supports each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, build trusting relationships with children and families, and uphold all health, safety, and licensing standards. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment aligned with YMCA values Monitor and document children's growth, behavior, and developmental milestones Communicate regularly with families about progress, activities, and concerns Maintain compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations Collaborate with YMCA staff to support youth development and family engagement programs Set up and sanitize learning areas, toys, and equipment daily Support social-emotional learning and positive behavior guidance Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings Model the YMCA mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility Required Skills Early childhood curriculum planning Infant and toddler care routines Child development knowledge (0-3 years) Classroom safety and supervision Observation and documentation of development Parent and family communication Behavior guidance for young children Health, hygiene, and sanitation procedures Lesson and activity planning Basic computer skills for recordkeeping
