Duties Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Conduct regular assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support early intervention strategies when needed. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior. Maintain accurate records of classroom activities, attendance, assessments, and mandated reporting laws compliance. Lead engaging lessons in preschool teaching areas such as language development, early childhood education principles, and classroom management techniques. Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols while fostering a secure environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Skills Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting with strong classroom management skills. Expertise in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards and childhood development instruction. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and standardized testing when appropriate. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Experience with toddler care practices and working with students across diverse developmental stages. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional credentials in childhood development or special education are a plus.
