Position Summary:

Provides educational enrichment to children from birth to 5 years old in a typical day care setting. Follows curriculum in a culturally sensitive manner. Ensures each child's health and safety, communicates with families effectively and works cooperatively in a team environment. Implements strategies to help each child meet their physical, emotional and intellectual goals.

$21.92hr - $23.24hr Essential Functions Leads a safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate classroom. Provides enrichment using the daycare curriculum. Plans and leads age-appropriate activities and routines. Adapts curriculum and strategies to meet children's individual needs. Promotes a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment. Communication and Documentation Communicates respectfully and regularly with families and staff. Coordinates with families and stakeholders to support each child. Collaborates with the Behavior Analyst on behavior strategies and data collection. Documents each child's progress as required. Personal and Health Care Assists children with hygiene, meals, and feeding as needed. Follows each child's Nursing Care Plan and clinical instructions. General Demonstrates professional and appropriate workplace behavior. Works scheduled hours and communicates absences or tardiness. Uses good judgment when responding to children and families. Follows safety procedures and workplace protocols. Serves as a positive role model. Completes required training on time. Maintains confidentiality of children and staff. Plans classroom activities and routines in advance. Must have high school diploma and a current CDA certificate. Strong communication skills required.
