Job Description

Toddler Teacher The Toddler Teacher provides direct care for the children in the classroom, alongside a co-teacher. They share the classroom responsibilities with their co-teacher, often working with smaller groups of children. Specific duties vary based on the age of the children and preference of the lead teacher. The number of teacher's assistants in a classroom depends on the number of children and their ages. Support the classroom in providing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate program and environment where children have the opportunity to develop social-emotional, language, intellectual and physical skills. Respect and support the family unit in their efforts to raise their children to become well-rounded individuals. At least 18 years of age; a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience in early childhood education (some college may be accepted if no prior experience). Should meet requirements for level 2 MD Child Care Credential. Successful applicants are expected to continue formal training to meet at least 20 clock hours per year of employment.
