Job Description
Rockville Day Care Association (RDCA) is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and experienced Assistant Director to join our Woodlin Child Development Center leadership team. Woodlin CDC provides programs for children ages 6 weeks - 12 years. This is a hands-on leadership position that partners with the Center Director to oversee the daily operations of a high-quality early childhood and school-age program. The Assistant Director serves as a role model for staff, supports curriculum implementation, ensures compliance with Maryland licensing regulations, builds positive relationships with families, and helps create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children and staff thrive. This position requires a collaborative leader who is organized, dependable, adaptable, and committed to providing exceptional care and education while supporting the operational needs of the center. Minimum Requirements - Applicants must meet the qualifications established by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Office of Child Care (OCC), and RDCA Preschool and School-Age Assistant Director requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age Associates degree in early childhood, or related field that meets MSDE requirements with at least 15 semester hours of approved coursework OR a bachelor's degree in any field.
