As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, promote positive behavior, and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions among children. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies that promote respectful interactions. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships. Incorporate special education principles and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incidents. Supervise assistant teachers and classroom staff, providing mentorship and guidance to uphold high-quality childcare standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and child development instruction. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood education best practices. Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention programs, behavior management techniques, and mandated reporting laws. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to toddler care and preschool-aged children's developmental stages. Experience working within private schools or daycare environments is advantageous; bilingual abilities are a plus.
