Position:
The College of Education invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Early Childhood Education. Preferred start date August 2027.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in early childhood education, reading and literacy, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, or related fields. ABD applicants with on-going progress will be considered if all degree requirements are completed by June 1, 2028. Commitment to excellence in teaching. Evidence of sustained commitment to working in partnership with public schools, children and families and/or other early childhood setting. Expertise in early literacy practices and/or Science of Reading. Demonstrated teaching experience in early literacy. Demonstrated success or potential to teach a wide variety of early childhood and/or gifted education courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Evidence of strong potential for scholarly productivity, including research publications and conference presentations that are innovative, collaborative, or interdisciplinary. Three or more years' experience working in public schools, Head Start programs, and/or other early childhood settings.
Salary and Benefits:
Targeted salary range: $70,000-$72,000 commensurate with experience.
