In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess relevant experience in childcare or preschool settings, and be committed to fostering positive growth and learning experiences for our young learners. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to children's development while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning activities, and daily routines to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Assist with classroom management and implement age-appropriate educational activities aligned with early childhood curriculum standards. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized environment. Support children's individual needs, including diapering, feeding, nap time, and behavioral guidance. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns or updates. Follow mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding children's information. Assist with classroom setup, cleaning, and maintaining educational materials and supplies. Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans in collaboration with specialists when applicable. Participate in ongoing training related to child development, first aid (including pediatric first aid), CPR, behavior management, and other relevant topics. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching strategies. Certification in First Aid and CPR (including Pediatric First Aid) is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and implement behavior management techniques. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment. Patience, compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with young children across various developmental stages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
