Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Child Care Assistant and become a vital part of creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of all ages. In this role, you will support early childhood development by engaging children in educational activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive behavior. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being, making a meaningful difference in young lives every day. Responsibilities Assist in supervising children during play, learning activities, meals, naps, and outdoor time to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom management by organizing activities that promote social skills, creativity, and early childhood education principles. Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development, preschool learning, toddler care, infant care, and early education. Provide attentive caregiving by monitoring children's health and well-being, administering basic first aid when necessary. Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and behavior management strategies. Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards for daycare and classroom settings. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences. Experience Previous experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles is preferred. Familiarity with childhood development milestones and early childhood education practices is highly valued. Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children. Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; ongoing training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Knowledge of childcare best practices including infant care routines, toddler care techniques, and classroom experience in early childhood settings.
