Roselyn North Academy is looking for a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team at our location in Westbrook! Our preschool classrooms are busy, fun, and full of personality. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands that great early childhood education is about much more than getting through the daily schedule. It's about creating a classroom where children feel safe, connected, curious, and excited to learn. What You'll Do As a Preschool Teacher, you'll work as part of a classroom team to: Create a welcoming, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment Build positive relationships with children and families Plan and participate in developmentally appropriate learning experiences Support children's social-emotional development, independence, and problem-solving skills Maintain consistent classroom routines while still making room for plenty of play, exploration, and fun Spend time outdoors with children and encourage active, hands-on learning Communicate with families about their child's day and development Work collaboratively with your teaching team and center leadership Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting classroom Follow Maine childcare licensing requirements and RNA policies What We're Looking For We'd love to meet someone who: Truly enjoys working with preschool-age children Is patient, dependable, positive, and able to work well as part of a team Understands that preschoolers need both structure and a whole lot of grace Is comfortable getting down on the floor, playing outside, being silly, reading the same favorite book again, and helping children navigate some very big feelings Communicates professionally with coworkers and families Is reliable and understands how important consistency is for young children Has previous childcare, preschool, or early childhood education experience Education or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus, but we're also interested in candidates with strong experience working with young children who are excited to continue learning and growing in the field.
