Lead Teacher for Preschool (4s) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to oversee our preschool classroom for 4-year-olds. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and maintaining open communication with parents to support each child's growth and well-being. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play, exploration, and structured activities. Manage daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children. Engage with children to support their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in accordance with best practices in preschool education. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections. Maintain classroom management strategies that encourage positive behavior and respect among children. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child safety and development. Implement health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure the well-being of all children in the classroom. Collaborate with staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on continuous improvement in early childhood education standards. Requirements Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool teaching, particularly with 4-year-old children. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective childcare practices. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members. Experience in classroom management and creating engaging educational activities tailored to preschoolers. Valid certification in first aid and CPR is required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
