Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Floater to join our educational team. This role is essential in providing support across various classrooms, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in diverse settings. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing curriculum and lesson plans tailored to the needs of students. Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Engage with children in activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical education. Foster an atmosphere of inclusion and support for children with special needs through early intervention techniques. Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Collaborate with educators to develop individualized learning plans based on childhood development principles. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in standardized testing processes when necessary, assisting teachers in evaluating student performance. Experience Proven experience in early childhood education or related fields such as daycare or private school settings. Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with curriculum methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and child welfare practices is essential. Experience working with students across various age groups, particularly in preschool or toddler care settings. This person will mainly be working with preschool age children (3-5 year-olds). We would like them to have experience with preschool aged children. The position is 3pm-5:30pm M-F.
