  • Byron Center is seeking a nurturing and dependable Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom where our youngest learners feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.
This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who understands the importance of consistent routines, responsive caregiving, and meaningful interactions during a child's first year of development. What You'll Do Lead daily routines and learning experiences in the Infant classroom Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized schedules Create age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities Support early language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers Observe developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families Maintain required classroom records and documentation Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous professional infant, daycare, or childcare experience preferred Lead Teacher or Infant classroom experience strongly preferred CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements What We Offer $16
