Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Lamination Senior Lead on 3rd Shift for the Grand Rapids, MI facility.

Senior Lead Primary Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for operating equipment in accordance with procedures to ensure optimum product

quality and for training and leading the daily activities of production personnel to ensure production

schedules and quality standards are met for assigned departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Direct production personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor.
  • Assist with machine setup and changeovers to ensure equipment is production ready
  • Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP).
  • Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
  • Report department metrics.
  • Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/lead experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
  • Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Light to moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery. OTHER
