Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and instructional modifications for students with special needs. Lead classroom activities that support early intervention, childhood development, and literacy education, ensuring all students are actively engaged and supported. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies tailored for students with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, special education coordinators, and other professionals to support individualized education programs (IEPs) and student progress. Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student growth and adapt instruction accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements through parent-teacher conferences and written reports. Mentor assistant teachers and support staff to uphold classroom management standards and deliver consistent educational experiences. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood or elementary school settings, especially those with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, behavioral health strategies, and classroom management techniques. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and the integration of educational technology. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Background in speech therapy, behavioral therapy or related fields is highly desirable. Experience working within private or Montessori preschool environments is a plus. Ability to adapt instructional methods for diverse learners while maintaining a positive classroom environment focused on growth and inclusion.
