Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing and educating children in a safe and engaging environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, while fostering their development through play, learning activities, and daily routines. The Childcare assistant will work closely with families to ensure each child's needs are met and will create a positive atmosphere that promotes growth and learning.
Side note:
Pay is based off of experience. Raises are available after training is complete, paperwork regarding background check and medical clearance, responsibilities and performance are met, and longevity in the position. Responsibilities Provide attentive and nurturing care to children in a safe, structured, and learning environment. Teach children through age-appropriate education materials that promote learning and development skills. Engage in playtime, storytime, structured activities, and educational games to stimulate children's creativity. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times for infants and toddlers. Implement special education strategies as needed for children with unique learning requirements. Certain times may have to interact with parents. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the childcare area, including toys and supplies. Collaborate with other caregivers to create a cohesive approach to childcare. Experience Previous experience in childcare or caregiving is preferred, including roles such as nannying, babysitting or working in early childhood education settings. No experience, but has a passion working with kids of all ages or is willing to learn and grow as a childcare assistant is welcomed. Familiarity with infant care practices and toddler care techniques is essential. Experience working with children who have special educational needs is a plus. Strong understanding of child development principles across various age groups (infants through preschool). Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents alike. A nurturing demeanor combined with the ability to set appropriate boundaries for children.
