The ideal candidate has strong early childhood education experience, understands developmentally appropriate practice, and can create a structured, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate GSRP classroom activities and lesson plans. Lead daily classroom routines, transitions, and learning activities. Support children's academic, social-emotional, physical, and language development. Maintain required child observations, assessments, and classroom documentation. Use positive behavior guidance and classroom management strategies. Communicate regularly with families regarding children's progress. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, administration, and GSRP support staff. Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom. Follow Michigan Child Care Licensing and GSRP requirements. Participate in required meetings, training, professional development, and family engagement activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related qualifying field, or currently enrolled in an approved bachelor's degree program . Previous preschool, Pre-K, GSRP, Head Start, or early childhood experience required. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to complete required background checks and fingerprinting. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. MiRegistry experience or enrollment preferred. Compensation & Benefits Starting at $26.00 per hour $1,000 school-year sign-on bonus, subject to eligibility and payment terms.
