Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support the daily care and development of children in a nurturing environment, ensuring their safety, engagement, and growth. This role is essential in creating a positive and enriching experience for young learners, from infants to preschoolers, while assisting with classroom activities and routines. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and first aid procedures. Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment. Engage children in educational activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Support children with special needs or disabilities as needed, promoting inclusive practices. Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's progress and needs. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong classroom management skills and ability to foster a positive learning environment. Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to early childhood education. Flexibility to support various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
