Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead School Age Teacher to inspire and guide children in our school age programs. This energetic leader will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and youth program facilitation, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and encouragement. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to school-age children that supports their academic and social development Lead classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring all children are actively involved and supervised at all times Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear expectations to maintain a respectful learning environment Supervise child supervision during indoor and outdoor activities, including sports, arts, theater, and outdoor play Coordinate youth group activities, camp experiences, and special events that promote teamwork and leadership skills Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently; administer first aid or CPR when necessary in accordance with established procedures Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to support each child's individual needs and development goals Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; prior leadership or team management experience preferred Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols required; ongoing training provided if necessary Experience facilitating youth programs, camp activities, sports coaching, theater arts or babysitting is highly desirable Ability to work outdoors comfortably for extended periods during outdoor activities or field trips Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and program quality Join us as a Lead School Age Teacher to make a meaningful impact on young lives!
