This position is staffed with 4-5 year olds in a GSRP classroom. Meeting state standards for program components and care, classroom cleaning, playing, reading stories, participating in crafts, caring for children's needs, and working with the lead teacher include some of the daily duties. You will be joining a successful team of educational leaders that share the common goal of setting a foundation for a developmentally appropriate academic environment. Applicants must have patience and a great love for children. Our goal is to select a candidate with the primary objective of contributing to the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. Organization, patience, and creativity are requirements as this is the first school experience for many of our little learners.

Responsibilities:

Creatively implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and learning standards. Utilize a variety of educational techniques. Maintain a daily schedule with classroom management strategies. Observe students to help them improve their social skills and build self-esteem. Plan and execute individual and group age-appropriate activities that engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth. Provide appropriate supervision. Provide basic needs and assistance with potty training as needed. Track children's progress and identify age-appropriate milestones. Professionally communicate with parents and staff. Collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

Associate's Degree or CDA in preschool/pre-K completed or in process of completion. 18 years of age or older is required. Passing a fingerprint background check is required. Experience in GSRP is a plus. Infant/Child CRP and First Aid Certification Preferred.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
