Overview Airport Road Christian Learning Center is looking for an experienced Lead Childcare Teacher to take ownership of a classroom and guide a team in delivering high-quality, faith-centered early childhood education. This role is designed for someone who's ready to implement curriculum, mentor assistant teachers, and build lasting relationships with children and families. Our program is built on the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum, blended with HighScope active-learning components, so you'll be leading a classroom that combines a strong faith foundation with a proven, child-led approach to learning. What You'll Do Own the classroom: implement our ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum alongside HighScope active-learning components, covering literacy, math, physical development, and social-emotional growth Design and execute daily lesson plans that balance structure with creativity and play Set the tone for classroom culture using proactive, positive behavior guidance to keep the room safe and supportive Directly supervise and mentor assistant teachers and aides, delegating tasks and modeling best practices Provide individualized support for children with special needs, coordinating with families and early intervention services when needed Track and communicate student progress through accurate records and assessments Serve as the primary point of contact for parents in your classroom, building trusting, collaborative relationships Ensure your classroom meets all state licensing and safety requirements at all times Bring in specialized approaches (e.g., Montessori-informed techniques) where they fit your classroom's needs What We're Looking For Prior lead teacher or head-of-classroom experience in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is required Demonstrated ability to independently plan curriculum and manage a full classroom Comfort supervising and coaching other staff members Experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children Strong, confident communication with parents, staff, and community partners Familiarity with ABC Jesus Loves Me and/or HighScope is a plus, but we're happy to train the right leader Early childhood education coursework, CDA credential, or related certification is required Experience with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus A genuine, personal Christian faith that you're comfortable integrating into daily classroom life Why Join Us This is a chance to lead your own classroom, shape how young children experience learning for the first time, and grow professionally in a supportive, values-driven community.

Pay:
