Job Description

Position Overview Happy Days Daycare and Preschool is seeking a dedicated full-time Lead Infant Teacher. Ideal candidate must be available Monday through Friday. Classroom Information The Infant room serves children aged birth to 6 months old and the Mobile Infant room serves children aged 6 months to 1 year old. Qualifications and Requirements Candidates must already have the necessary qualifications to be a Lead Teacher, such as a CDA, an Early Childhood Degree, or meet approved Child Care Licensing requirements. Associate degree or higher in early childhood education or child development. Lead teachers for infants/toddlers must complete 3 semester hours, 4.5 CEUs, or 45 hours of MiRegistry approved infant and toddler development and care practices within 6 months of hire. If you do not have the qualifications already achieved or are not actively working on them, please do not apply. First aid/CPR certification and completion of a fingerprint background check are preferred, but these can be completed at the time of hire. In-classroom working experience is required. Desired Qualities The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills, high energy, and a willingness to engage fully with the children, including participating in messy and fun activities. Compensation The Lead Teacher position offers an hourly wage of $16.00. Bonus Perk Full-time employees receive an extra $300 a month and part-time employees received an extra $200 a month after 30 days. Location and Transportation Happy Days Daycare and Preschool is located at 9384 Whittaker Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. Please note, there is no bus route to this location, so candidates must have their own transportation.
