Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Build/Strip Crash Technician to join an automotive clients Vehicle Safety Test Team and Crash Test Laboratory located in Superior Township, Michigan. The Vehicle Safety Test Team is part of the Vehicle Safety Integration Department which focuses on the physical crash testing and passive safety for all products. We are currently looking for an automotive crash test technician to support our Pre-Test preparations and Post-Test teardown operations. We are looking for a hard-working automotive engineering test technician who is eager to use their skills to set up and tear down crash test vehicles. The ideal candidate would have a flexible and multi-faceted skillset to support a variety of testing conditions and requirements. $25/hr to $27/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Skills and Requirements High school diploma or Associate's degree in Automotive Technology, or equivalent automotive experience 1-3 years of hands-on automotive technician experience with strong mechanical aptitude Experience with vehicle teardown, reassembly, and modification of interior/exterior components Welding, fabrication, or soldering experience Experience diagnosing vehicle issues, reading codes, and troubleshooting warning lights Ability to follow detailed test procedures, checklists, and protocols with a high level of accuracy Strong attention to detail - Previous experience in a crash test, vehicle safety, proving grounds, or automotive testing environment Experience installing instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition equipment, or prototype vehicle components Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting Experience with fabrication, metalworking, or custom vehicle modificationsBenefits
