Job Description We are looking for a qualified Child Care Teacher to work in our Toddler or Preschool Room. You will help students learn and have fun every day! Our staff build excellent relationships with families in our community while working in a fun and safe environment. Qualified staff will be able to engage with students and maintain an organized classroom. Our goal is for all staff to play a positive role in making our center a place where learning and fun happen together. Responsibilities Develop a safe, friendly, and creative classroom environment Provide structured time where children learn through storytelling, playtime, art, and activities Get to know each student individually and help them thrive in the classroom Observe interactions between children and encourage conflict resolution Apply classroom curriculum to everyday activities Use time management skills effectively in order to maintain a classroom schedule Accurately complete required paperwork within the classroom Communicate with parents regularly Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Skills A talent for working with children and and building positive relationships Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication skills Good natured, warm and friendly Dependability and strong work ethic Ability to thrive in a team environment Willingness to become First Aid/CPR certified
Education and Requirements Teachers:
Must have 24 quarter or 16 semester qualifying credits
Assistant Teacher:
Must have 12 quarter or 8 semester qualifying credits
Teacher's Aide:
This is an entry level position, employee's will receive on the job training All applicants are subject to a background study mandated by the state of Minnesota. •Qualifying credits may include classes in Sociology, Health, Art, Education, Psychology, Music, Literature, Speech/Communications, Phy. Ed., Family & Youth Studies, Social Work and Human Services, Theater, Dance, Technology, etc. Please see our Center Director for more details.
