More than 30 Starting Salary Range $19+ depending on qualifications Description Good Shepherd Catholic School is seeking caring, dependable, and flexible On-Call Substitute Teachers to serve students in Preschool through 6th grade. Substitute teachers play an important role in supporting our school community by providing a safe, engaging, and faith-filled learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of all ages, is adaptable, and is committed to maintaining a positive and productive classroom. Responsibilities Provide classroom instruction and supervision for students in Preschool through 6th grade as assigned. Follow lesson plans and classroom procedures provided by the classroom teacher. Foster a positive, respectful, and well-managed learning environment. Encourage student engagement while maintaining established classroom expectations. Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, or other assigned duties as needed. Communicate with school staff regarding the day's activities and any important student information. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Uphold the mission, values, and policies of Good Shepherd Catholic School. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Minnesota substitute teaching license (or ability to obtain one) required. Experience working with preschool and/or elementary-aged children preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels and classroom environments. Supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education. Desired Characteristics The successful candidate will: Enjoy working with children from Preschool through 6th grade.
