Job Description

Little Acorns Learning Center is seeking an energetic, responsible, and qualified individual who is over 18 for a full time Lead Teacher position in our younger toddler classroom. Little Acorns is a family owned and operated child care since 1997 with programs for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. These programs include developmentally appropriate schedules, our own unique child-led curriculum, and activities that promote school readiness. We all are in the child care business because it truly is our vision to positively impact the lives of the children in our community. We are looking for a teacher that lives out our core values: community, growth, fun, safety, and excellence, and is ready to join our team of dedicated teachers!
Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
Manage the classroom by creating a safe and nurturing environment Create weekly lesson plans Promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth in the children Regularly communicate with families Collaborate with coworkers Meet state requirements for child care centers Little Acorns offers: Paid on-site trainings, including SUID/Shaken Baby Syndrome and yearly in-service hours Four, 10-hour day work week Paid holidays Competitive wages Regular performance review conversations Friendly working environment Wellness Days Dependent Care Benefits AFLAC Supplemental Insurance First Aid and CPR Full time employment, Monday through Friday - No Weekends!

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Lead teacher qualified as described by DCYF Rule 3
