This contract position invites a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care one day per week, offering a fulfilling way to make a difference in students' lives while maintaining an ideal work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Deliver general nursing care to middle school students within the health office. Assess student health needs, administer medications, and provide first aid as necessary. Maintain accurate student health records and document nursing actions according to school protocols. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student well-being and safety. Offer support during medical emergencies and contribute to health education initiatives within the school when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current LPN/LVN license in good standing. Experience in a school, pediatric, or community nursing setting preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff. Comfortable working independently, demonstrating sound judgment and professionalism. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start). Why consider this role?
