Lead Twos Teacher A Place to Grow is hiring a Lead Teacher for our two-year-old classroom! We are looking for a dependable, nurturing, energetic early childhood professional who understands that two-year-olds learn through relationships, play, exploration, movement, and LOTS of patience! As a Lead Twos Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom while building strong relationships with children and families. Responsibilities Provide warm, responsive, and respectful care for children Maintain active supervision and a safe, clean, organized classroom Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences Support children's social-emotional development, independence, language, and emerging skills Complete developmental observations, assessments, and classroom documentation Follow daily routines while remaining responsive to individual children's needs Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior-management strategies Communicate professionally with families through ChildPilot Follow all A Place to Grow policies, Missouri licensing requirements, and NECPA accreditation standards Maintain accurate classroom records and required documentation Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, support staff, and program leadership Participate in required staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training Maintain required MOPD training hours and stay on track with an annual professional development plan Assist with diapering/toileting, meals, rest time, outdoor play, and other daily care routines Model professionalism, dependability, teamwork, and a genuine love for young children What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, organized, playful, and confident leading a classroom. Experience working with toddlers or two-year-olds and a minimum of a CDA credential is strongly preferred, but willing to train the right person. Candidates should be comfortable communicating with families, working as part of a team, and meeting the high-quality standards of an accreditation-focused early childhood program.
