About the Job The Assistant Manager will be the face of Camp Bow Wow Lee's Summit and help lead a large team of employees, oversee daily operations of the camp, budget and inventory, safety, and provide all necessary training when needed. The Assistant Manager works directly with the General Manager and Regional Director to grow the business of the local Camp through a variety of marketing and sales activities, while also managing day to day operations within the Camp. In-camp responsibilities will consist of opening or closing the camp, leading daily operational tasks, managing the front desk, interacting with Clients, and managing on-duty employees. The Assistant Manager will work to create partnerships with local businesses customers in the community. Other duties as necessary. Primary Responsibilities Managing employee relations - hiring, firing and write-ups/corrective action, along with the General Manager Monitor overall coverage of Camp Counselors and Team Leads Assume responsibility to cover or find coverage of any uncovered shifts Monitor opening and closing shift checklists Answer the phone assisting customers who call for information or reservations Provide receptionist/front desk work to check in/out customers dogs and answer questions Ensure a safe and clean environment at all times for campers, as well as employees Track budget and ensure Camp goals are being met Generate sales and build new customer base through phone and email follow-up Be a "hands-on Manager!"
