Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler/Twos Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children aged two years old. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow through play-based learning and structured activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children's development while fostering a love for learning in a supportive setting. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers and twos. Facilitate engaging activities that support early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social interaction. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies to create a safe and respectful environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, assessments, and developmental screenings aligned with early childhood education standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting, preferably with toddlers or preschoolers. Strong knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Experience with specialized areas such as special education, literacy education, Montessori methods or physical education is a plus. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs including children requiring additional support or early intervention services.
