We are excited to be opening our new childcare center and are looking for dependable, caring, energetic individuals to join our team as Full-Time Childcare Teachers . We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a positive, supportive environment where children can learn, play, grow, and feel loved and safe. Position Responsibilities As a childcare teacher, you will: Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children. Supervise children closely and maintain required staff-to-child ratios. Engage with children through play, learning activities, art, sensory experiences, outdoor play, music, reading, and more. Help implement our preschool curriculum and age-appropriate activities. Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, potty training, naps, and other daily routines. Communicate with parents about their child's day, including accomplishments, activities, injuries, diaper rashes, behavior concerns, supplies needed, and other important information. Complete daily updates and documentation through our childcare communication app. Pay close attention to children's needs, including checking on children when they are upset, injured, or behaving differently than usual. Maintain clean and organized classrooms and help with daily cleaning and sanitizing. Work as a team and communicate effectively with other staff members. Follow all Sunflower Academy policies and Montana childcare licensing requirements. What We're Looking For The right person will be: Dependable and punctual. Patient, caring, and comfortable working with young children. Able to communicate professionally with parents and coworkers. Willing to actively engage with children rather than simply supervise. Able to work well as part of a team. Comfortable changing diapers, assisting with potty training, serving meals, cleaning, and completing other childcare duties. Willing to learn and grow with our program. Able to pass all required background checks. Willing to complete required childcare trainings, CPR/First Aid, and licensing requirements. Childcare experience is a plus, but we are also willing to work with the right person who has a great attitude, is dependable, and genuinely loves working with children. Schedule This is a full-time position . Sunflower Academy Childcare is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM-6:00 PM. Individual employee schedules will fall within our operating hours.
