Duties Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student activities and incidents. Facilitate activities that support childhood development including physical education, arts, and play-based learning. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification. Requirements Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively with excellent behavior management skills. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willingness to obtain upon hire. 16 hours of annual training is required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
