Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teachers Aid! In this dynamic support role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early childhood development, support classroom activities, and ensure each child's unique needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and learning of preschoolers while gaining valuable experience in education and childcare. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education activities. Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive environment conducive to learning and social development. Engage with children during activities such as storytime, arts and crafts, play-based learning, and outdoor exploration to promote their cognitive and social skills. Help monitor children's behavior and provide gentle guidance to encourage positive interactions and behavior management. Assist with classroom setup, including preparing materials for lessons, organizing educational resources, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Collaborate with teachers to observe individual student progress, especially those with special needs or disabilities such as autism or other developmental challenges. Support communication with parents by providing updates on children's activities and progress under the supervision of lead teachers. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development for preschoolers including literacy education, math concepts, Montessori methods or similar approaches. Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapt activities for children with diverse needs or disabilities. Technical proficiency in using educational tools or software relevant to early childhood teaching environments. Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team while maintaining a positive attitude. Understanding of childcare safety protocols and best practices for toddler care and preschool environments. A passion for early childhood education combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.25 per hour
