We are specifically looking for someone who loves working with babies and understands that quality infant care is about much more than meeting basic needs. Our Early Childhood Teacher will spend their day talking, playing, comforting, holding, and building responsive relationships with infants while supporting their individual routines and development. We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys being around children, takes pride in their work, and creates a warm, engaging environment where children feel safe and supported. The ideal Early Childhood Teacher takes initiative, notices what needs to be done without being asked, and enjoys both interacting with children and maintaining an organized environment. About Our Program Bright Minds at Flathead Childcare is a Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based, and nature-based childcare program. Children spend time outdoors daily, explore through hands-on experiences, and learn through meaningful relationships and play. Our infant care is responsive and relationship-based. We follow each baby's individual needs and schedule while helping them gradually become part of the rhythm of the larger group. Our Early Childhood Teacher should be comfortable caring for infants while also working as part of a mixed-age childcare team. Responsibilities As an Early Childhood Teacher , you will: Provide warm, responsive care for infants and young children Engage with children through play, conversation, songs, movement, and age-appropriate learning experiences Support individual infant routines, including bottles, meals, diapering, naps, and transitions Comfort, hold, and respond to babies' needs throughout the day Support daily routines, outdoor play, meals, and rest time Help implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum Use positive guidance to support children's social and emotional development Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment Build positive relationships with families and coworkers Maintain active supervision and ensure children's safety and well-being at all times Qualifications Our ideal Early Childhood Teacher will have: A genuine love for working with infants and young children Experience working with young children preferred Ability to work independently and take initiative Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliability and professionalism Take initiative in keeping our shared spaces clean, tidy, and ready for children throughout the day Participate in everyday childcare cleaning such as wiping tables and surfaces, sweeping, dishes, sanitizing, organizing materials, and cleaning up after meals and activities Willingness to spend time outdoors in all seasons Willingness to complete Montana licensing requirements and required trainings if needed Qualified applicants will be invited to interview and may be asked to participate in a classroom shadowing experience before hire.
