Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to oversee the care and education of children aged from toddler to 2 years old. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development for toddlers to 2-year-olds. Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and play activities with patience and professionalism. Use effective behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and social skills among children. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with licensing laws. Lead classroom team members by modeling best practices in early childhood education, classroom management, and child welfare standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with children aged from infancy to toddlerhood in a licensed childcare or preschool setting. Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to children under two years old. Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing early intervention strategies. Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management techniques tailored for young children. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in childhood development or early childhood education preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and ensure compliance with all licensing regulations. Experience managing classroom activities including literacy education, physical education, and basic math concepts suitable for toddlers.
