In this dynamic role, you will provide essential support to classroom teachers and ensure a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for our young learners. Your energetic and positive attitude will help foster curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills in our preschoolers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children during a critical developmental stage while collaborating with experienced educators to create a joyful learning atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote literacy, math, social skills, and early childhood development. Supervise and engage with 2-year-old children during classroom activities, outdoor play, snack time, and rest periods. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a calm, organized environment. Help with classroom setup, tidying materials, and preparing educational resources using computers and educational technologies. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and daily experiences, fostering strong relationships. Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualized plans for children with diverse needs or disabilities, including those with autism. Follow all educational compliance standards and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or preschool classrooms. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education, math concepts for young learners, and Montessori or other educational philosophies preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm. Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire. Understanding of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards and educational compliance regulations. Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support instructional activities. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly valued.
