Job Overview Join our vibrant childcare team as a Child Care Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in nurturing, supervising, and supporting the development of young children in a caring and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a safe, stimulating space where children can explore, learn, and play. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood from social development. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Assist with implementing age-appropriate play activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support management by maintaining organized routines and encouraging positive behavior. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare promptly. Assist with basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, ensuring children's health is prioritized. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings, including toddler and school-aged care. Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement. Familiarity with child supervision standards and safety protocols in childcare environments Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar safety training preferred Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining patience and professionalism.
Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
