Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Preschool Afternoon Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Assist lead teachers with classroom management, including behavior management and routine transitions Ensure the safety and well-being of children through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols Support children with personal care needs, including diapering, toileting, and feeding as required Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by tidying up materials and supplies regularly Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and progress Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Certified in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, or willing to obtain certification upon hire Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Experience handling child supervision in fast-paced environments such as daycare centers or nannying/babysitting roles Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and supported!
