A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

Job Description

Develops and implements age appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of child's development on a monthly basis. Establish a positive relationship with each child's parents/families while maintaining confidentiality. Maintains a healthy, safe, clean and developmentally appropriate environment for children. Effectively communicate with parents/families regarding their child's program, updates and information. Must demonstrate experience and interest in working with young children, parents and families. Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare center is preferred but not required. Must have the mobility required to ensure the safety of all children. Ability to work with children on the floor and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and in an emergency situation a 40 lb child.

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
