Lead Preschool Teacher

Lead Preschool Teacher Position Summary:

The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment that supports the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development of young children.

Spiritual Responsibilities:

Model Christ-like behavior and maintain a personal commitment to Christian values. Integrate biblical principles and age-appropriate Bible lessons into daily instruction. Lead children in prayer, worship songs, and faith-based discussions. Support the mission and statement of faith of the preschool and church.

Educational Responsibilities:

Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards. Plan engaging activities that promote literacy, math readiness, fine/gross motor skills, and social development. Observe and assess student progress, and communicate regularly with parents as needed. Maintain organized classroom routines and positive behavior management strategies.

Operational Responsibilities:

Maintain classroom safety and cleanliness. Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations. Supervise assistant teachers and classroom volunteers. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and required professional development; communicate with the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education (preferred). Experience working with preschool-aged children. Strong communication and leadership skills. Agreement with the church/preschool's statement of faith.

Pay:

$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
