Job Description

Drexel Kids Child Development Center offers full-time and part-time childcare Monday through Friday each week, from 6:30 AM-5:30 PM. We are currently seeking qualified teachers and assistant teachers to serve the educational needs of children 0-5 years of age. Teachers are responsible for planning and executing age-appropriate activities for children birth-preschool (depending on assigned room). Drexel Kids staff will ensure a safe and educational environment. The person chosen for this position will work closely with the director to develop curriculum, communicate with parents, and uphold the center and church's reputation. Drexel Kids is a ministry of First Church of God of Drexel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and execution of developmentally appropriate educational activities for children in your assigned classroom Maintain compliance with NC Childcare laws and regulations Work with classroom additional staff/assistants to ensure proper education and developmental goals of children are met through the execution of lesson plans and other daily activities Organize and maintain a clean environment in the classroom, restrooms and playgrounds. Communicate effectively and professionally with children, parents, and staff
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Early Childhood Education North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) Two years of full-time experience in licensed childcare facility CPR, First Aid, DCDEE criminal background check qualifying letter A more complete job description will be given to candidates upon hiring.
