Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for engaging children in age-appropriate activities while ensuring their well-being and development. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development. Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including feeding, diapering, and nap time. Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth. Manage behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized classroom or daycare environment. Collaborate with other staff members to support the needs of all children, including those with disabilities or special needs. Document daily activities and milestones in each child's development. Experience Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred. Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is beneficial. First aid certification is highly desirable. Background in caregiving, nannying, babysitting, or daycare settings will be advantageous. Understanding of childhood development theories and practices is important.
