What You'll Do As a Lead Teacher, you will: Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Provide a safe, loving, and nurturing classroom environment. Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning. Encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and a love of learning. Observe and monitor each child's development and provide individualized support when needed. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, development, and classroom experiences. Keep the classroom clean, organized, welcoming, and well-stocked. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to provide a consistent, enriching experience for every child. Follow all applicable childcare licensing requirements, safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements Required for all applicants:

High School Diploma or GED. Must be 21 years of age or older . Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. A genuine passion for working with and caring for children. Lead Teacher qualification — at least ONE of the following is required: Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education AND 1 year of early childhood work experience, OR Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in any major with at least 12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education AND 2 years of early childhood work experience, OR 10 years of experience working in a childcare center AND annual completion of 2.5 CEU's specific to ages/needs of children in care AND successful completion of a competency evaluation.
