Role:

The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Teacher to guide and inspire our Older Infants classroom! Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for older infants Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports developmental milestones Monitor and document each child's growth, development, and daily progress Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's care and development Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom space Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare health and safety standards

Requirements:

EDU 119, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning center, especially with infants Knowledge of infant development, developmentally appropriate practices Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills Ability to meet North Carolina childcare licensing requirements for Lead Teacher qualification Warm, dependable, and team-oriented demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
